Our heritage
Built in memory of Siraj Mia
Siraj Mia Memorial Model School was established in 2005 to honour Siraj Mia, the late father of our founder, and to offer affordable quality education to families in Badda, Dhaka.
It was officially inaugurated on 13 January 2007 by Dr. Anwara Begum, wife of Dr. Iajuddin Ahmed, who served as President of Bangladesh.
We hold one belief close: every child deserves access to excellent education, regardless of financial background.

Founder
Md. Monir Hossain
A philanthropist who founded the school to give children quality education and strong character.
Chairman
Md. Rafy Hossain
An accredited civil-commercial mediator (ADR ODR International) with an LLB from Leeds Trinity University. He oversees daily operations and protects the founding values.
Principal
Prof. Syed Abdur Razzak
Puts weight on co-curricular activities, BNCC training and student discipline, and aims to make the school a leading provider of education in the country.
Vice Principal
Md. Harun-or-Rashid Bhuyian
Focuses on each student’s interests and on bringing out their latent qualities in a supportive learning environment.

Inauguration

Japanese Ambassador visits
The Ambassador of Japan visits the school and recognises its academic and extracurricular work.

Sylhet flood relief
Food, water and essentials delivered to more than 1,200 families.

100% SSC pass rate
Every SSC student passes, many with distinctions.

TEDxSMMMSchool
The first Bangla-medium school in Bangladesh to host a TEDx event.
